Beloved Finds: A Group Chat Analysis

JoanHeartsVDay

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and for some its a reason to spend time with the one you love, or possibly lust after. No judgement, do you boo! Around here, we reject the idea that love has parameters. Love isn’t just exclusive to people. At one point you may have loved an imaginary friend. Perhaps you yearned for a plate of you mom’s home-cooked lasagna after your spirits collided. It’s even more likely that your soul yearned for some amazing coat or boss ass heels you just had to have.  Be mine was written all over from the moment you laid eyes upon them.

In honor of Valentine’s Day, I probed some of my fashionable friends on items they once coveted. Below lies confirmation that sometimes you have to be a savage and take what you want in the name of love. Not only that but, when it’s real love you know it!

FC: Hi Friends, What are your most coveted fashion items you own and why?

Phenola – “My Chanel clutch that I“borrowed” from my mother several years ago. It goes with everything and is the perfect size. It was a gift to my mother from my dad so it reminds me of both of them. It also reminds me of the power of a great investment piece that 20 years later, it is still as relevant and beautiful.”

Brittany: Simple black plants. Like luxury yoga pants!

FC: You bought luxury yoga pants from where?

Brittany: Because they can go from day to night with the switch of tops, make-up, and shoes. It eliminates stress when coordinating outfits and clutter when packing for girls on the go like moi!

Brittany: Old Navy

Miranda: My Elie Tahari leather jacket and my Fendi boots. I like things that look classic that I can wear for years. I don’t ever want to look dated. So I would say coats are my adored fashion item.

Brooke: My Louis Vuitton bag, mostly because I lusted after it for so long before buying it. It was the first really nice bag I actually bought for myself!

FC: Which bag was it?

Brooke: Artsy Monorgam Empreinte

Erica: My David Yurman jewelry. Never leave the house without it.

Jill: My Fendi bag. I got it on the Spanish steps in Rome as a b-day gift for my 18th birthday.

Amber: I’d say either my black midi skirt because it goes with everything or my So Kate heels because they were such a thoughtful surprise from bae.

While your out celebrating love just remember, it truly is the thought that counts! These items were only special because of the stories attached to them.
